Essay on Hobby
Essay on Hobby – 200 Words
Finding a hobby that you like is essential since it may keep you motivated and excited. Hobbies give relief from the demands of regular life and enable self-discovery and potential realization.
Traveling is my hobby due to some reasons. My Hobby helped me to discover new aspects of myself and widen my outlook on the world.
Keep In mind that when we remain in the same area or do routine work it is easy to get bored and fail to see that there is more to the world than our surroundings. Traveling has made me realize how much more in this world to see and do.
Essay on Hobby – 500 Words
“A hobby a day, keeps the doldrums away.” (Phyllis McGinley)
The
common man in the street is, of course, overworked these days. As a breadwinner, he has to do very hard work. Life without rest or leisure will lose
much of its vigour (دم
خم؛ہمت؛قوت) and gusto(ذوقوشوق). We do not work with a view to exhausting
ourselves to sickness. A hobby is the name of the pleasant activity that we do to
kill our leisure time. There are many
activities that I do at moments of leisure time but the thing that
captivates my mind and attracts my imagination is gardening.

Gardening is a creative activity. Gardening
is an eternal source of joy and happiness to me. It absorbs a lover of the garden
in the same way as poetry absorbs a poet or painting absorbs a painter. There
is no end to the refinement which can be brought about in a garden. Myriad (بےشمار؛لامحدود) shades of colourful
plants and flowers breathe rich fragrance.
“Beauty is truth, truth beauty — that’s all.
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.” (John Keats)
The Garden is home
to many species of butterflies which lend charm to the verdant (شاداب؛سرسبز)
looks of the garden. Some beautiful birds, too, make the garden a permanent or
transitory home. Their heartening sounds distract us from the monotonous
regiment of our daily lives. The company of nature is always ennobling (پروقار)and uplifting(ذہنی سکون دینے
والی).
Your mind is a garden; your thoughts are the seeds.
You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds.
I
have made a big and spacious lawn in front of my house. In the garden, I have
grown mango, lemon, orange, and banana trees. I have also planted flowers of
various colour and fragrances in the garden. Trimmed green grass, maintained at
a desired level, imparts great charm to my eyes. Weeding wild grass is a
major and laborious operation. Green fruit trees, lush grassy lawns, and the
thick mistletoe (آکاسپودا)
are a source of pleasure to everyone.
After college time, I visit the garden
and tend every plant and shrub. I give fertilizer and water to it, prune (چھانٹنا یا کاٹ ڈالنا)it, and trim (تراشنا
یا اصلاح کرنا)it. I protect it from the hot sun and shelter it from intruding animals. I watch the plants grow with a throbbing heart and a loving
look. I do not mind spoiling my clothes and limbs while weeding out the enemies
of the plants from the garden.
If
you tickle the earth witha hoe, she laughs with a harvest. (Douglas William Jerrold)
I
have beautified my lawn with flower plants of all kinds. The birds sing sweet
songs and chirp in the morning. The fragrant flowers, the green grass, and the shady
trees enchant my mind and transport me to a world of imagination.
We come from the earth; we return to the earth, and in between we garden (باغبانی کرنا).
