Previously, the National MDCAT exam was conducted by PMC for all students, but after the restoration of the PMDC council, the MDCAT will now be conducted at the provincial level by UHS Lahore.

Every year, after FSc pre medical students appear in MDCAT. MDCAT is conducted in Pakistan for approximately 3-4 months of FSc. The MDCAT  is offered once a year in August. Registration generally opens up in May and closes in July. There are no fixed dates for the MDCAT.

All Conducting bodies (Universities) will Follow Question Bank. PMDC (Successor of Pakistan Medical Commission) will be issued the Question Bank. For Punjab, the Univerity Of Health Sciences is conducting body.
