Are you a pre-medical student seeking info on MDCAT in Pakistan? I am sure you want to be a doctor, that’s why you’re here.

Previously, PMC used to make policies for MDCAT Aspirants, now PMDC will do this work,

Every year, after FSc, pre-medical students appear in MDCAT. MDCAT is conducted in Pakistan for approximately 3-4 months of FSc. The MDCAT  is offered once a year in August. Registration generally opens up in May and closes in July. There are no fixed dates for the MDCAT.

Verified Information For MDCAT in Pakistan

  • The paper will be based on the MCQs Bank as per the syllabus.
  • There will be no change in the paper pattern.
  • Additional marks will be given to Hafiz-e-Quran.
  • The MDCAT will be conducted by provisional universities and will be paper-pen based.
  • In Punjab, UHS MDCAT will conduct the test, while in Sindh, Dow Medical University will conduct it.
  • In KPK, KMU will conduct the test.
  • The passing marks for MBBS are 55%, while for BDS, they are 45%.

1. Percentage Criteria For MDCAT

There is no easy way to pass the MDCAT. MDCAT is a challenging admission test in Pakistan, yet crucial for admission.
  • 50% MDCAT 
  • 40% F.Sc. Or Any Other Equivalent Education
  • 10% Matric
Focus on F.Sc marks to avoid mistakes and secure admission. Don’t neglect F.Sc for MDCAT.

2. Eligibility For MDCAT in Pakistan

The eligibility criteria for the MDCAT in Pakistan are not as stringent as you might think. To take MDCAT, score 60% in SSC and HSSC with physics, chemistry, and biology.
  • Pakistani, Overseas Pakistani and Foreign Nationals can all register for MDCAT.
  • FSC/HSSC/A level result/degree IS NOT required for MDCAT registration.
  • A candidate is permitted to take the MDCAT  only once in each calendar year.
This year around 210,000 students will appear in MDCAT. 70 thousand more than last year. By these figures, you can imagine how much competition has increased only in one year.
In other words, passing the eligibility criteria is just the first step in the long journey to becoming a doctor. You will also need to study hard and perform well on the MDCAT if you want to be a Doctor.

3. Age Requirement

    The total time allowed for the MDCAT   is 3.5 Hours. Yes, only 210 minutes!

    8. Difficulty Level – How Much You Need To Work Hard

These figures indicate a significant increase in competition, with a calculated 60% increase from last year alone. As a result, it is important to prepare thoroughly, as the merit could potentially rise significantly this year.

  • 20% MCQs (Hard) 

    • Only 8% of MDCAT students in Pakistan can pass the test, which gives you an idea of how difficult it is.
